Father hear me, you’re a Homo Sapien Sapien.
{A    G G# A   G  G#} x2    It doesn’t matter what’s your culture or the color of your skin.
D          A   G G# A             And some folks are double homos. They’re also homo sexual.
E          D                             They want to give Love to another of the same sex ‘cause they feel that is their pull.

{A    G G# A   G  G#} x2    Who knows why they feel it? It ain’t easy, you may know.
{A    G G# A   G  G#} x2    There are some who want to kill them. They say their good book told them so.
D          A   G G# A             To the other double homos, the homophobes who fear their Love,
E          D                             I wonder what’s your reason when even Jesus preaches to Love.
{A    G G# A   G  G#} x2
G          A      G G# A         ‘Cause Love is too strong.
G          A      G G# A         His Love will live on.

{A    G G# A   G  G#} x2    Now you say these same-sex couples are really evil for what they feel
{A    G G# A   G  G#} x2    but it seems that only evil would cause such heartbreak and try to steal
D          A   G G# A             that holy feeling that only happens ‘cause the good Lord also Loves
E          D                             all the children she’s created. What matters is your heart, not the gender of.

{A    G G# A   G  G#} x2    Face it, you’re a bigot. A friggin’ bigot and hypocrite.
{A    G G# A   G  G#} x2    You say to Love your neighbor and expect the same respect.
D          A   G G# A             I hope no one tries to steal your lover from your life.
E          D                             But if it takes that for you to feel real heartbreak, than it seems that’s only right.
{A    G G# A   G  G#} x2
G          A      G G# A         Since Love is so strong.
G          A      G G# A         Your Love will live on.

{A    G G# A   G  G#} x2    Your Love is not purer than a gay man and his man’s.
{A    G G# A   G  G#} x2    In fact, yours’ seems awfully evil for denying him his hand.
D          A   G G# A             On one hand you say that marriage is a worthy goal to make
E          D                             but only if his partner fits the pattern only you are allowed to paint.

{A    G G# A   G  G#} x2    If there ever were a devil who corrupted the Love of God
{A    G G# A   G  G#} x2    it seems he’d use religion to promote such devisive thought.
D          A   G G# A             So perhaps you are created in the image of Lucifer
E          D                             ‘cause you got his evil feelings and for gay couples you’re creating Hell on Earth.

{A    G G# A   G  G#} x2    If Jesus, who’s your savior, were to witness the way you work
{A    G G# A   G  G#} x2    would he wonder why you’re worried about someone who’s got a quirk?
D          A   G G# A             And all they are even wanting is to love someone for life.
E          D                             This commitment should be honored. To wrap this up, you bigots are just not right.
{A    G G# A   G  G#} x2
G          A      G G# A         For Love is too strong.
G          A      G G# A         Love will live on.

{A    G G# A   G  G#} x2
May I remind you that our country is not a theocracy.
{A    G G# A   G  G#} x2    And our 14th Ammendment guarantees equality.
D          A   G G# A             Freedom is for all regardless of sex or race.
E          D                             Now you want to change the Constitution so it now will be legal to discriminate.
