Polluting the sky, polluting the sea. E D A
{no chord} We're polluting you, we're
polluting me. E D A
Looking around it's
easy to tell: we treat our Earth like an empty shell.
Looking around I can
see so well, we keep this up we'll make our own Hell.
Chickens and pigs and
cattle are caught. Cramped and
condemned into smelly feed lots.
The fate of these
creatures is really quite sad. The way
we treat Life is totally bad.
Digging up Earth to
look for gold. Cutting down trees that
are a thousand years old.
Is there not one
place we can leave alone? What kind of
fool would destroy its own home?
Dozens of species go
extinct each day. Industry leaders
saying, "That's ok.
"As long as we
can sell our gadgets and knobs."
Well on a dead planet, there are no jobs!
People why don't you
see it's wrong? Can't you tell that
before too long?
We're gonna drown in
our own waste. I'm telling you,
friends, it's a big disgrace.
People why don't you
wake up and see, we're cutting down all the trees.
Polluting the sky,
polluting the sea. The fate of our home
is up to you and me!
You and me.
