D   A   Mommy, Mommy,                let me inside.

G   D  There's a scary monster.         I wanna hide.

G  D    Help me, please.                     Make it go away.

A    D I wanna run outside                and with my dog, play.

D   A   Cancer, cancer,            growin' in her.

G   D  My Cami girl. What's the cure?

G  D    It's very difficult         being grown up.

A    D I wanna her back, my little pup.

Chorus:

Bm C#m D  A G D                We gotta make decisions         no one wants to make:

Bm C#m D  G  A                   surgical incisions or an            old dog's life to take.

Em  Bm  G  A                         Complicated, frustrated,         fillin' me with fear.

Em F#m G A Bm A D           If I were given one request, I'd roll back all our years.

D   A   Cami, Cami,                are you in pain?

G   D  When I see you walkin'I see you strain.

G  D    You deserve to feel     not too frail.

A    D  I wanna see you          wagin' your tail.

D   A   Passing, passing          from this place.

G   D  None of us know        what    then we'll face.

G  D    But if you'll feel better            in the land beyond.

A    D I want it at your own will, not my own.

Bm C#m D  A G D                We gotta make decisions         no one wants to make:

Bm C#m D  G  A                   surgical incisions or an            old dog's life to take.

Em  Bm  G  A                         Complicated, frustrated,         fillin' me with tears.

Em F#m G A Bm A D           If I were granted just one wish, I'd wash away our fears.

D   A   Mitzi, Mitzi,              my first dog

G   D  died on my bed as I slept like a log.

G  D    I woke up                    and she was dead.

A    D   But her memory         still lives in my head.

D   A   Help me, help me,       roll back time

G   D  and the toll it takes     on body and mind.

G  D    Eventually,      everything just stops.

A    D Even memories            will be forgot.

Bm C#m D  A G D                We gotta make decisions         no one wants to make:

Bm C#m D  G  A                   surgical incisions or an            old dog's life to take.

Em  Bm  G  A                         Complicated, frustrated,         I feel it coming near.
