C#m     B      F#       A child leaves the safety of his home,

E       G#m    F#       finding what it's like to be alone.

C#m     B      F#       A bud begins to form upon a tree,

E       G#m    F#       bursting into bloom, it feels free.

C#m     B      F#       An old man trades his wisdom for his age,

E       G#m    F#       forgetting he once knew he was a sage.

C#m     B      F#       A seed forms and it falls assuredly,

E       G#m    F#       nestled in the roots of mama tree.

C#m     B      F#       A corpse commits itself to waiting worms,

E      G#m    F#       feeding one by one until it turns.

C#m     B      F#       The germ sprouts and the roots begin grow,

E       G#m    F#       reaping what the rotting man had sown.
