B    E  A       Drivin' down Ancestor Road,                    God damn, we hit a pothole.

B    E  A       The door swung open and a kid flew out.  Man, we were out of control

E                 We pulled over and gathered round.           We wouldn't let one of our own down.

B                 From behind the spirits came.                    Ancestors by DNA.

D    F#    B   We sang a song, a little chant from our Soul:

Chorus:

Abm    E  Eb             Heal, Bowden.

Abm    E  Eb             Heal, Bowden.

Abm    E  Eb             Heal, Bowden.

Abm    E  F#  Abm   Heal, Bowden.

B    E  A       Baby Bowden needs our help,           from the young to the old.

B    E  A       We all pull together,                         and keep him from getting too cold.

E                 He's gettin' the best care there is:      Love from all his Ancestors.

B                 His Great-Great-Grandpa's now holdin' him.        His still a great Shaman.

D    F#    B   He's singin' a song,        a little chant from his Soul:

{chorus}

B    E  A       Just like all little kids,                                Bowden finally got up.

B    E  A       We all cheered and did a dance                  for our hurt little pup.

E                 There'll be more bruises, scrapes and cuts. The road is often full of ruts.

B                 But we got kisses to ease the pain     and blessings from our Ancestor's name,

D    F#    B   who's singin' a song,     a little chant from her Soul:

{chorus}

B    E  A

Abm    E  Eb             Heal, Bowden.
